Chapter 765: Concordance (2)_1
"Getting old, getting old, my memory used to be much better," Lizhong said helplessly, stroking his graying temples. At his age, he couldn’t deny the inevitability of aging.
"Grandfather Li is still full of vigor, where have you aged?" Mo Yan consoled.
This wasn’t entirely consoling; compared to when she first met him, Lizhong’s health had improved greatly thanks to the nourishment of the Spirit Spring Water and the Space Crops. He wasn’t even falling short compared to a forty-year-old.
Lizhong looked at Mo Yan and remarked with emotion, "I have you all to thank for this. Otherwise, Grandfather Li couldn’t have enjoyed such good days."
Lizhong had said this more than once, and Mo Yan, feeling rather helpless, just smiled and did not try to persuade him not to take such matters to heart as she had done before.
After the elder and the younger had chatted for a while, they heard the arrival of several customers outside. Since Tie Tou and Wang Pangtou were too busy to attend to them and were complaining, the two stopped their conversation and hurried out to greet them.
Once the rush hour had passed and the shop was less busy, Mo Yan called Tie Tou, who was engrossed in his work, into a smaller room.
During her casual chat with Lizhong, he had mentioned, unintentionally, that Tie Tou had been quite absent-minded lately, messing up several accounts in a row. After a serious scolding from Lizhong, he had improved somewhat, but his work was no longer as reliable as before.
Mo Yan knew the reason but couldn’t share it with Lizhong. She had to talk to Tie Tou alone to see if she could help him find a solution so that he and Liu Qingqing could get married without further issues.
Seeing the horrible chilblains on Tie Tou’s face and hands, Mo Yan finally understood why Wu’s was so heartbroken; she wished she could crack open this guy’s head to see what he was thinking.
