Mo Yan had no idea how Liu Qingqing and Tie Tou got to know each other. According to Tie Tou, the two had developed feelings for each other, insisting that one wouldn’t marry anyone but the other. She thought to herself that if she hadn’t asked Liu Qingqing for help back then, Liu Qingqing might still be stuck in the Yanyu House and perhaps would never have met Tie Tou, which meant that the conflict that happened today between mother and son of the Wu family might have been avoided.

No one wishes for a daughter-in-law from a brothel, and Aunt Wu’s reluctance doesn’t necessarily mean she looks down on Liu Qingqing. It’s likely more out of fear that if Brother Tie Tou married a woman with such a tainted background, they’d be crushed by all the gossip and slander they’d have to face.

Better to cut it off from the start than to end up resenting each other later on, sparing both parties future pain.

Xue tuanzi in Space wanted least of all to see its master unhappy and quickly tried to console her, "Yanyan, their fates are destined. Even without you, they would have met one another. Don’t blame yourself."

Upon hearing this, Mo Yan was somewhat incredulous, "You’re not just saying that to make me feel better, are you?"

Xue tuanzi, hurt by its master’s distrust, huffed indignantly, "Believe it or not, it’s up to you!"

Helpless, Mo Yan entered Space, picked up Xue tuanzi who was pointedly turning its backside (if it had one) to her, and apologized very sincerely, "It’s my fault; I shouldn’t have doubted your words. Can you please stop being mad at me?"

Xue tuanzi’s voice was that of a grown-up, which always made her forget the little guy had the temper of a child.

Feeling gratified by her apology, Xue tuanzi shot Mo Yan a proud glance, indicating forgiveness.
