Chapter 335: Financial Ruin and the Harrier’s Message (6)_1
Everyone hastily bowed their heads to gobble up their rice, knowing that asking further questions would be pointless, as Mo Yan wasn’t going to say anything. Yet, they were all intensely curious.
The harrier, locked outside in the cold wind, began to screech discontentedly, its voice shriller and more piercing than ever before.
Mo Yan turned a deaf ear and silently shoveled rice and vegetables into her mouth. If she could understand the bird’s language, she was certain that the creature was cursing her.
Little Flower and the others were also made somewhat irritable by the harrier’s clamorous noise, taking turns running to the door and growling threateningly.
But ever since the harrier had come to the Mo Family, relying on its ability to fly, it had often bullied them and wasn’t intimidated by their threats at all. Instead, its cries became even more exuberant outside.
Watching their standoff, the others continued eating without comment. A perfectly good, warm dinner was thus spoiled by a feathered beast.
After dinner, the first thing Mo Yan did upon opening the door was to unexpectedly snatch back Maomao to her own courtyard. She opened the letter cylinder on its leg and, sure enough, found a letter stuffed inside.
Mo Yan hesitated for a moment but still took it out, casually tossing the harrier to the three beasts that had been eyeing it greedily.
