Her family was deeply concerned about her condition. Eventually, her Buddha-believing grandmother found an old Monk who had been in seclusion for many years to divine her fate. The Monk said that her three souls were unstable, and she was fated to die young. To resolve this, she needed a precious object to anchor her soul, otherwise, she wouldn’t live to adulthood. Even with such a heaven-defying object, it wasn’t certain that she could live safely until old age.
