My Mansion of Gorgeous Maids in Another World

Chapter 40: Meanie!

The woman’s sudden appearance caught Jett completely off guard. He’d been told this continent was dominated by humans, yet she looked straight out of a storybook. Her slender body was wrapped in a short emerald skirt, a wide wooden‑hued ribbon cinched tight around her hourglass waist.

She had short, pale‑green hair, wide eyes, and stood a shade over five feet tall. Everything about her was willowy—except the generous swell of her chest, two massive "apples" straining against her bodice.

"Thanks for lending a hand to squishy humans in need!" she chirped, bowing with her ankles pressed together.

Jett grinned. "No need to thank me—I volunteered."

"Could you pretty please help us stop any more ouchies? We fairies of the Artemis Forest will totally never forget you! We’ll even carve your name on our super‑special Sentinel Tree," she said, half cheerful and half solemn, bowing again.

She doesn’t realize I’m the Warden. Might be smart to mingle with people like her and widen my horizons. Still, Mia’s an elf—no telling how this fairy will react.

The fairy had no idea who Jett really was, or that an elven princess served as his maid. He’d instructed all his attendants to call him only "Master," and Mia to address him as "Master Talon," keeping certain facts under wraps. He wasn’t ready to break that rule.

"I’m traveling with passengers," he said. "I need to drop them in a safe village before I can help a one‑of‑a‑kind guest like you."

"No worries! Tons of humans already said yes, so everyone can buddy up! The forest’s heart is the safest spot—pinky promise! Lots of folks dream of seeing it once in their lives—it’ll be super exciting!" Her voice bubbled like a carnival hawker who’d just chugged pixie sugar water—bright, fizzy, and almost too eager.

"Tempting offer," Jett said with a smile. "Let me run it by my household."

"Okey‑dokey!"
