Chapter 7: Mia’s Gifts
Standing in the heart of the storm, Jett's mana flooded every cell of his body in a torrent of lightning, the air crackling with electric energy and carrying the scent of ozone, igniting boundless potential. His mana now had purpose, and he felt more significant than ever.
Silently, as the storm subsided and stillness returned to the storage chamber, Jett glanced over his shoulder at Mia. His intense stare froze her in place—she couldn't blink or tear her gaze from his deep, black eyes. Though his appearance remained unchanged—an average-looking human crowned by short black hair—his gaze now brimmed with budding confidence.
"I wanna see your gifts, Mia," Jett said.
His voice rumbled deeper, though Mia wondered if it was her imagination or her master's rising testosterone. She stepped forward, attending to him with obedient grace.
"Congratulations on obtaining your new power, Master Jett," Mia said, bowing low until her breasts threatened to burst free of her bodice.. "I'm certain you'll wield it with flawless authority, worthy of the Ruler."
Jett smiled. "It's like a whole world just opened up to me. I love this as much as I love having you, and I'll hold onto both."
"I'm honored, Master Jett," Mia whispered, pressing her palms together and gazing at him with devoted warmth.
She led him to the shelf of gifts, where flowers, seeds, and elven trinkets lined the shelf. Up close, he noticed their disparity: some looked rich and exotic, others plain and unassuming. Most people would overlook the modest items, but he sensed a unique purpose in each.
One seed in the center caught his eye: it was encased in a glass frame with green metal filigree, resembling a walnut carved from ancient black wood, its surface etched with intricate runes.
