"Start the live stream, Stacey," Pauline said to her daughter.
"I’m not doing this anymore." Stacey got up from where she knelt, hands clenched as she walked away.
"I will never stoop to her level. Penny is beneath me, I will never apologize to her." Stacey cried out stamping her feet on the floor. Pauline rose from where she knelt too.
"You imbecile." She growled walking up to her daughter as her hands crashed against Stacey’s cheek, the sound reverberated around the room.
By now, all of the maids and servants have gathered around for the drama. They had all seen their mayor and his family kneel before their new mistress apologizing to her and they wondered what had happened.
"How dare you open those mouths of yours after everything you’ve done," Pauline yelled at her daughter.
"Haven’t you brought enough pain, Stacey? You made your parents kneel before her, you make the world humiliate us and now you can’t apologize for it?"
"What did I do wrong Mother? How can you slap me because of her?" Stacey cried out.
