Chapter 159: Carne Village
After the situation was cleared up, the party continued on their way. Although there is still awkwardness in the air making the Sword of Darkness and Nfirea felt worried about, Peter and Lukrut tried various conversion to ease up their journey.
As the sun was already setting down int the horizon, the group decided to make a camp fire in a safe place and spend the night there. They prepared a meal and began talking happily with each other. However, they noticed Momon and Nabe was not eating the food.
Shido know the reason but he didn't say anything and continued to eat his food. Seeing the curiousness in their eyes, Ainz had no choice but to make an excuse which Nfirea and the Sword of Darkness believe. Only Shido was clapping internally as Ainz really know how to use an excuse.
They talked about many things like the strongest adventurers group, the capital and even dragons that made Ainz curious about. Ninya who was the most knowledgeable among the group explained the rumors about the said dragons living in the mountains excitedly.
This made awkwardness in the group lessen and Lukrut, Peter and Shido also talked with each other completely making the awkward atmosphere change into a pleasant one.
Only Nabe didn't say anything and kept her serious face, but they already know that she was normally like that so they didn't say anything except Lukrut who kept pestering her.
Another thing that made Momon curious was when Nfirea mentioned the wise king of the forest which lived in the southern part of the Great Forest of Tob. Ainz asked more about it which Nfirea nodded and continued his words
"Based on a few witnesses, it is an old four-legged silverish, white beast with a snake-like tail. It is wise and can use magic well."
Ainz thought for a bit then said "It would be interesting to meet such creature."
