Chapter 56: Like Oil And Water
"Origami, what... are you doing?"
Shido watched the expressionless Origami that was peeking behind the utility pole. Ignoring the fact that her body can be seen from far away. He could only reveal a wry smile, unsure of how to react to her antics.
"Ah. Shido found. Teehee..."
Origami stepped away from the utility pole, revealing herself completely standing in front of Shido. Then she talked in a monotone voice and cutely knocked her head, but her expressionless face made it more comical.
Shido was speechless at how she could do something this dumb with such a straight face. He rubbed his temples as he tried to process her attempt at acting coy.
Yet, he had to admit that she looked cute even if she was weird.
Nevertheless, Origami must be waiting for him if she was doing something like hiding behind a utility pole.
Watching her closely, Shido saw that she was wearing her Raizen High uniform just like Tohka. Yet, unlike Tohka who had a curvy body, Origami's body was slender and toned. It is most likely the result of her rigorous training in AST.
Her petite and flexible frame contrasted with Tohka's plump body, however, Shido didn't dislike it a bit.
In fact, despite not being as naturally huggable as Tohka, there was something about Origami that made Shido indulge in embracing her in his arms.
It was so addicting that, if not for more pressing matters, Shido might have stayed in bed, content to keep holding her a little longer.
