Chapter 39: Solving Origami’s Hatred
Inside Origami's apartment, Shido was lying on a bed. Slowly, his eyelids quivered, and he opened his eyes to see an unfamiliar ceiling. A moment later, it dawned on him that he was in Origami's room, resting.
When he was in his Inner World, the system had already informed him earlier that Origami had brought him here to tend to his wounds.
He was dumbfounded upon learning this. The thought of Origami dragging him all the way to her apartment felt surreal, but since she did this to take care of his injury, he decided not to dwell on it.
Yet, why didn't she bring him to the hospital and instead to her apartment?
Is it due to her anxiety about losing him or just her natural instinct?
Just as he was trying to make sense of the situation, he noticed a breezy sensation on his skin.
Looking down, he realized his upper body was completely exposed, naked except for the pants he was still wearing. Shido was speechless.
'Did Origami simply nurse me back to health, or did she do something weird to my body while I was unconscious?'
Awkward thoughts filled his mind as he pushed himself into a sitting position.
Now, looking at his chest, which has no wounds, he knows that his Spirit Body was truly amazing in healing his wounds at a fast rate.
Though it wasn't healed instantly like a certain overpowered slime protagonist that was reincarnated just like him, his healing ability was still quite fast.
