Chapter 28: Night Battle
The darkened sky of Tengu City stretched out before them like a canvas for a momentous confrontation, the cold breeze cutting through the air.
Above the rooftops, in a secluded corner of the city, two spirits stood in front of each other, their presence sending a ripple of uneasy energy through the surroundings.
Shido's heart pounded as he stared at the woman before him, Tokisaki Kurumi, the woman with a gaze that spoke of desires beyond mere affection.
She looked at him with eyes that were sharp and calculating, and yet there was something unnerving about the hunger he saw reflected in them.
"System, what's going on?" he muttered under his breath, feeling the unusual pull he couldn't quite shake. But the system's reply wasn't what he was expecting.

Shido's eyes narrowed. "If it's working then why does she look like she wants to devour me!?" Shido rebuked at pointed at Kurumi who's eyes were filled with desire to possess his whole being.
The system was speechless to say anything.
