30 minutes later*
"I think we don't have to worry about the assassins." I said to everyone as we waited for Ruby's return from her fight with Speed-o'-Sound Sonic.
"Why would you say that?" Weiss asked, glancing up from admiring her blue-painted nails, done by Namine. Her expression was a mix of curiosity and concern. "Wouldn't they show up a couple of hours from now?"
I waited to see if Bayonetta or Namine would say something, but all I got was silence. Turning around, I saw Bayonetta already asleep. Namine was zoning out, lost in her own world as she meticulously drew in her sketchbook, which she had gotten from somewhere I had no idea.
"Well, for one thing, I might have accidentally killed the assassins that were sent to deal with us." I admitted, my voice tinged with uncertainty. "And yes, it should've been a couple of hours from now. But I don't think that's possible now."
"Wait, what?" Weiss stood up instantly, her expression of concern. "What do you mean you accidentally killed the assassins? Or the fact that the assassins had already appeared when we were not ready?"
