Journey to the West: Starting from Changing Sun Wukong’s fate

At the first opportunity, Wang Yang didn’t think twice; he spurred his pair of horses toward Zhang Xun, aiming to deliver a fatal blow. No matter how terrifying the aura, he was just a mortal after all.

Compared to the various Mythical Beasts from the Primordial Continent, Zhang Xun’s aura was hardly worth mentioning. Wang Yang’s longsword pointed directly at him, his target was clear without saying a word.

The two horses had reached their maximum speed, and Wang Yang had gathered all his strength for this strike. He was confident that even if he were facing walls of iron and bronze, his sword could pierce through.

As Wang Yang charged forward, Zhang Xun slightly bent over, his long spear leveled in front of him.

"Today will be your end!"

Wang Yang was now within striking distance of Zhang Xun, his longsword almost piercing him.

But in Zhang Xun’s eyes, it was far from it; both Wang Yang’s horse and sword seemed to slow down, and a hint of mockery played around the edges of his mouth.

With a slight tilt of his head, Zhang Xun dodged the thrust of Wang Yang’s longsword. Wang Yang stared in astonishment; given the speed of the horses, an average person couldn’t possibly react in time.

Even if one could react, it would be impossible to dodge that way. Wang Yang slashed downward with a backhand strike, his longsword sharpened on both edges.

Although slashing might be less effective than chopping with a blade, if the sword landed on a head, it would split it just as easily as chopping vegetables.

Zhang Xun, however, dodged like a prophet, sidestepping to avoid Wang Yang’s attack.
