Chapter 484 - 433 Glimpse into the Celestial Secret

"After Xuanzang returned to the Great Tang, he had completed handing over the scriptures and, at the King of Tang’s request, convened a grand Water and Land Assembly to preach Buddhist Law for forty-nine days."
Before all the Buddhas in the great hall, Zhunti declared, "From this point on, Xuanzang and our saints of the Western Direction are free from mutual commitments!"
"Now Xuanzang has realized the Buddhist Law on his own and established a new doctrine. His teachings do not contain our true scriptures from Mount Meru but are instead authored by himself. Therefore, there is no need for further discussion on this matter."
Of course, Zhunti would not go as far as to say that no matter how Xuanzang altered them, he remains a follower of Buddhism.
After all, the Buddhas of Mount Meru also possess different Buddhist Laws. To be clear on the issue, it’s feared that all Buddhas might descend to establish their own versions of Buddhism.

Afterward, Jieyin sat upon the Lotus Platform, the Bodhisattvas returned to their places, and Dharma was preached in the great hall.
