Chapter 1063: Phantasm Spirit
As soon as Burpe emerged and appeared in front of Melora, the latter seemingly paused her attack.
She glanced at Burpe with an astonished expression.
’The Phantasm Spirit.’ Melora nearly stumbled a few steps backward at their sudden appearance.
"What is your relationship with him?" Melora asked Burpe cautiously. Besides caution, there seemed to be a trace of reverence and fear.
"I am his guide," Burpe responded cheerfully.
"The man is the prophesied Sea Traveler and destined to resolve the Phantasm Sea. Why are you impeding him and even trying to eliminate him?"
"The unsealing of the Sea Heart is dangerous and could cause irreversible damage if the Sea Traveler fails." Melora tried to explain the circumstances and the potential risk.
"If I don’t test him, then how can I be reassured to lend him the shard. And so far, this supposed prophesied Sea Traveler hasn’t been able to prove his strength. But he sure proves his villainous ways."
Burpe tilted their head slightly.
"Villanous ways? How so? The Sea Traveler has been eliminating the savages in the Phantasm Sea."
"Are you sure he didn’t eliminate the savages for profit?" Melora snorted, her eyes subtly trailing to the chained-up Xu Feng.
"Hey, how could you accuse my goodwill as nefarious?" Xu Feng gnashed his teeth and hissed coolly. "If I was truly doing it with nefarious intent, then may you lose the blessing of the Sea Heart Shard!"
