Chapter 254: Creamy
With the news that our godly friends were aware of my situation my guardians were at ease enough to go and call it a night. As Sam and I wanted to grant Hilda some rest too, we also decided to retreat back to my bedroom accompanied by two kitties who were also more than happy to share the bed with us. Although I did make them promise to keep calm, which they did.
I helped Sam get ready by removing her leg and then got underneath the covers, awaiting for my girlfriend who joined moments later, Pocky and Mocchi laying down at our legs as that was currently their preferred location to sleep on. I didn’t mind, it keeps my feetsies pretty warm.
“Want to know something, Ami?” As Sam got into my bed next to me she took me close to her by wrapping her arms around my waste.
“Depends on the something.” I giggled. “Is it a cute something?”
“It is.” She then gently blew against my left ear, making me giggle again.
“Alright, go ahead then.”
“I’m actually really looking forward to spending the night with you like this again.”
“So am I.” I nodded. “Just you in your own body, me, and the two kitties.”
“Don’t like the buff Sam kitty version of me?”
“Of course I do!” I immediately protested. “I like her arms, I like her abs, I like her legs, I like her boobs, I like her chest, I like everything about her.” And the list could have gone on for quite a bit longer but I decided, for brevity’s sake, to just keep it at this for now, unless Sam wouldn’t believe me.
“Those are all very enticing properties about her, that’s true.” Sam laughed. “It’s pretty funny to talk about an extension of me like that in third person.”
I stuck out my tongue as I nodded in agreement. “But the problem with her is that she’s not you. And you are the girl I fell in love with. That’s just a gap she’ll never be able to bridge.”
“Awh.” Sam squeezed her eyes closed and then went in for a kiss which I evidently granted. “If you hadn’t already melted my heart before, you would definitely have done so with that line, you sweet goofball. Damn.” She rubbed the bridge of her nose. “I don’t think you noticed but I was trying to talk you up, I didn’t expect you to counter with such ferocity.”
“I’m a cat you can’t handle without any gloves. Ferocious and wild.”
“And very girlfriend shaped.”
“That too.”
Sam grinned and kissed me again, this time softer but a lot longer than the previous time. As she did she cupped my face between her hands and softly drew circles on my cheeks with her thumbs. It made me long for even more which Sam, in turn, also didn’t hesitate to give.
After a good ten minutes of kissing Sam stopped and smiled. “Maybe we should call it here or I will not be able to sleep. My heart is already pounding hard enough because of you. If I keep this up my sports watch is going to think I’ve started running a marathon.”
“Kissing marathon, sounds pretty good to me.”
“We need to rest, Ami, rest. I don’t want my heart to give up just yet or I’ll not be able to get as many kisses in the long term. I’m choosing long term kiss amounts over short term kiss sessions.”
Mocchi meowed at our legs.
“See, Mocchi also said you just go with the flow and kiss me as much as you like right now. You can’t say that her logic is flawed.”
“That’s not what I said, I don’t know what she said, but that surely wasn’t it. You are lying to me.” Sam took Mister Snuggles and stuffed him in my face, obviously taking care of both my wellbeing and the wellbeing of my cherished plushie. “Tell me, trickster, what did Mocchi actually say.”
I giggled. “She just said that you should lay flat on your back so she can come and sleep on your stomach.
Pocky meowed as well.
“And Pocky wants to sleep on the dimple in between you and me.”
“Oh.” My girlfriend immediately changed her position in bed and right on queue both of our kitties started moving, with both of them going exactly where I said they were going to go.
“This feels so cozy.” Sam commented as she looked over the top of her blanket at the cat on top of her. “I think this is the first time she has done this.”
“Have you slept on Sam before like this, Mocchi?” I asked and a meow later I could tell Sam her response. “She has done so before but only when you have that weird thing on your head.”
Sam chuckled. “Right. Little do they know that we are visiting a different world when we have those on…”
“I don’t think their minds can comprehend that.” I smiled. “I can even barely comprehend it myself. A part of me still thinks I died a while ago and that this all is just a very vivid fever dream of a mind that has crossed into heaven.”
“Don’t start pulling a Desmappes on me. I’m bad with existential crises." Sam replied. “Let me just bask in this feline glory.”
“Hey, you started it.” I licked her cheek.
“And I’m choosing to end it.” Sam tried to move, potentially to lick me back, but now that she had a Mocchi on her chest and she didn’t want to disturb her, her range of movement was quite limited. “Darn, having a cat sleep on me isn’t as easy as I thought it was.”
“I’ll let you practice with me next time so you are ready for Mocchi. Weight training.”
“I… would not mind that at all. I have registered this in my head as a promise. Ami the weight blanket has been added to my wishlist.”
“I’ll try to grant it to you but not now or Mocchi might actually bite me.”
She meowed.
“What did she reply?”
“That she would bite but that it would not be more than a nibble.”
“And where?”
“In my nose.”
“Rude.”
“Cats don’t know what rudeness is.”
“But their entire being revolves around it.”
“It does but that doesn’t mean they know it's a bad thing.”
“Fair enough.” After Sam had replied she just stared at the ceiling for a while. “I think I’m gonna fall asleep now, Ami. Wake me if something happens, alright?”
“I’ll try to get a bit of sleep in as well, good night, Sam.”
“Good night, babe.” Sam closed her eyes and I decided to do the same, after snuggling up closer to Sam of course, being careful enough not to squish Pocky at the same time.
It was actually a somewhat interesting experience to drift back to sleep in my own bed, this time not getting roused in a completely different world. I didn’t dream of anything particular, just the events of the day with slight differences, for example there being an enormous fish buffet at our picnic, but apart from that nothing really noteworthy.
This ensured that I woke up plenty fresh in the morning next to Sam who was still comfortably snoozing on. It had appeared though that Mocchi and Pocky had moved away again during our sleep and were probably enjoying some time with Hilda right now, or sleeping on my sister's ‘pillows’ as Pocky liked to say.
I stretched my arms above our blanket and licked my dry lips. With a look on the clock I could see that it was still quite a while before the rest would get up so I decided to quickly head to the kitchen so that I could get something to drink. Pouring myself a glass of milk and then hopping back in bed to just cuddle up with Sam sounded like the best thing to do, so I did.
I stealthily slid out of bed and pulled Sam’s oversized t-shirt over my head before I quietly moved on to the living room. Hilda was there, on the sofa, still sleeping peacefully too. The cats were nowhere to be found, so my guess about my sister looked to be pretty on point.
After having reached the kitchen I silently opened the fridge door and took a carton of milk before I poured some in a glass. Sipping from my milky goodness quickly rid me of the thirst on my lips so I poured a little bit more just for taste’s sake.
When I was done I put the carton back and closed the fridge, scaring the everliving crap out of myself, as behind the door stood a lady dressed in a black dress with accompanying black and red stiletto heels, leaning her heel on her left foot against the wall. Her sleek long black hair with purple highlights only being broken up by two horns on the top of her head. Not a doubt about it, this was a devil I was facing right in my own living room.
