Chapter 1459 - 1354: The Eerie World
Brother Qin has entered such a terrifying place, is there any possibility of him coming back alive?
Thinking about this question, the Jin Family Siblings’ faces were full of worry.
Behind them, the bigwigs of the Alliance Leader Corps were all discussing fervently.
"Unexpected, so unexpected!"
"Indeed! We originally considered Qin Hao a rival, but before we could officially face off, he seems to have kicked the bucket!"
"Haha, you can’t say that, he isn’t dead yet!"
"Not dead? You mean he might end up a vegetable? That would be worse than death!"
Similar to the thoughts of others being unsympathetic, He Fang and Duanmu Kui felt a hidden joy.
The detestable Qin Hao finally got what he deserved!
Daring to enter the terrifying world of the Dream Stone, you probably won’t even know how you died!
On the stage, Master Kong took in everyone’s expressions, with a cold smile at the corner of his mouth.
To instill fear in them, that was exactly the effect he wanted.
"Hehe, the damned Qin Hao, so full of himself, little did he know that the Dream Stone is my method to punish sinful disciples?"
"Hope you aren’t too scared inside!"
Thinking this, Master Kong once again focused his gaze on Qin Hao’s face, and on that indifferent face, a cruel smile blossomed.
...
All around was fog, an eerie white mist.
Qin Hao gently sniffed, the fog had no scent.
A wind blew by, bone-chilling and cold, like the icy gales of Siberia.
Qin Hao pulled his clothes tighter and attempted to circulate some energy.
Sadly, there wasn’t a trace of Spiritual Qi within his body.
"There’s no Spiritual Qi here? How do I cultivate then?"
Qin Hao tried meditating but found the Spiritual Qi exceptionally scarce.
"Darn! The Spiritual Qi here is depleted! This isn’t a place of cultivation at all! That bastard Kong actually tricked me! Damn it!"
While Qin Hao was cursing, something soft brushed against the palm of his hand.
Just as the wind blew by, he took in the surrounding scene.
This was a plain overgrown with tall grass.
The grass on the ground stretched out endlessly.
Honestly speaking, these strange grass swaying in the breeze was quite aesthetically pleasing.
But somehow, Qin Hao felt eerily uneasy.
"Oh well, let’s just walk and see."
Qin Hao marked a blade of grass, then strode forward.
Ten minutes later, Qin Hao saw the marked grass, picked it up, and showed a puzzled expression: "Back to the starting point? Sure enough, this place is a maze."
Having gone through so much, Qin Hao had long cultivated a calm mind.
He pulled a piece of grass and put it in his mouth, then looked up at the sky.
Due to the misty cover, the sky was dim and gloomy, unclear what the weather was like.
"Hush..."
A very odd sound came from somewhere.
Qin Hao followed the sound with his eyes, a dark shadow flitted by not far away.
"Is that, an animal?"
The perplexity on Qin Hao’s face deepened as he walked towards the dark shadow.
He didn’t know how long he had been walking when he started hearing faint sounds, as if someone was sobbing.
"Darn! Am I back to the starting point again?"
Qin Hao was about to complain when he noticed the fog thinning, and after only a few steps, something tripped him.
Looking down, Qin Hao found a blood-soaked head at his feet!
"What!"
Qin Hao jumped back in shock, instinctively wanting to run, but then he suddenly woke up, realizing, this is a dream world, what am I afraid of?
So he suppressed his fear, walked over slowly, and turned the head over.
Only then did he see that it was actually a long-haired woman.
She had been dead for some time, with half her face already decayed, one eyeball exposed, the other a dark hollow, with maggots crawling.
Undoubtedly, the scene was incredibly horrifying and eerie.
But Qin Hao casually kicked the head aside, quipping, "Pretty realistic, even has a sense of pain."
Whoosh!
The head flew high, seemingly hitting something, and a raspy cry rose up from within the thick fog.
Like the sound of a human voice breaking, or the roar of some unknown animal.
"Again?"
By this point, Qin Hao realized that this so-called Dream Stone was actually a terrifying world.
"I fear no haunted house, why fear these things?"
With a careless attitude, Qin Hao walked towards the sound.
Then, the wind blew, the fog dispersed, revealing the true form of the dark shadow ahead.
On the ground lay a withered corpse.
Beside it, a lion-like beast crouched near the corpse, tearing chunks of flesh into its mouth.
Glug glug!
As it raised its head to swallow, a white head could be seen hanging from the beast’s furry neck.
"So it hit this thing."
Qin Hao touched his chin, his face full of amusement.
"Roar!" The beast noticed Qin Hao, turned its head, its eyes the size of copper bells opened, letting out a roar.
"What are you roaring for?!" Qin Hao rolled up his sleeves.
After just testing beforehand, he had a vague understanding that although this world had no Spiritual Qi, Inner Strength still existed.
"Roar!"
The beast seemed deeply enraged, gave a loud roar, then charged fiercely at Qin Hao, gaping jaws open, blood dribbling between teeth, mixed with mangled flesh.
"Ha!" Qin Hao let out a scornful laugh, rolled up his sleeves, and instead of retreating, advanced, hurling a punch imbued with Inner Strength at the beast.
Bam!
The beast’s massive body was sent flying by the punch.
After landing, it let out a low whimper as it got up, shook its head, and its commander-like eyes were filled with bewilderment.
This human, why is he so strong?
"Got flustered? There’s more fun to come!"
Compared to the beast, Qin Hao was composed.
He grinned, and in a flash, appeared behind the beast.
"Roar!"
The beast let out a roar, unwillingly twisting its body.
Then, a hand landed atop the beast’s head.
Clang!
Hit by the punch, the beast only felt dizzy, as if its head would crack.
This insignificant human actually dared to hit me?
The beast shook its head again, letting out another roar.
Clang!
Another muffled sound came, this time with more force, almost making the beast’s eyes pop out.
This pain was too harsh!
"Little guy, I’m a bit tired, walk obediently for me." Qin Hao’s voice came, the beast’s primal instincts of wildness surged, leaping up, trying to throw Qin Hao off.
But after landing, the weight on its back remained.
Clang! After another punch, Qin Hao’s voice turned menacing: "Little guy, don’t force me to get rough, okay!"
The beast didn’t understand what the human behind it was saying, but it knew it must not be something good.
Out of fear of the throbbing pain behind its head, the beast whimpered, taking tentative steps forward, not daring to provoke the presence on its back.
"This is a good boy!"
