Chapter 1269: Sowing Discord
Shaun did not communicate the matter privately discussed with Wei Yun to anyone else, not even to Lester whom he trusted, nor to the girl who was skilled in heavy weaponry, or the delicate-looking guy... none of them knew.
Once the communication ended, Shaun cut the connection and stepped out of the signal tower.
Then, he came face to face with Lester, the two blonde-haired, blue-eyed guys, randomly placed in the same squad, Lester agreed to support Shaun after Shaun subdued him.
Lester conceded defeat as he was less skilled.
The relationship between warriors is actually quite simple, as long as you’re stronger than him, he’ll acknowledge and respect you.
Seeing Shaun looking at him, Lester blinked and said, "Shaun, you finally came out, I have something to discuss with you."
Shaun slightly frowned, "Lester, you should stay at your post."
Lester laughed and said, "Shaun, what I want to say to you is this: I think it’s better for me to be at the frontline rather than staying at the rear, or, simply swap my position with Ji You’s. I think, at crucial moments, I’m more reliable."
Shaun shook his head, "No."
Lester: "Hey, mate, you should trust me, I’m more dependable than that Ji You who popped up out of nowhere, you should give the more important position to me."
Shaun firmly said, "No, go back to your spot."
Lester’s face turned a little bitter, saying, "I don’t think I can really perform well, otherwise, why don’t I swap places with Nina?"
