Chapter 134: A Miracle
The morning wind blew through the open window, brushing gently against the bare skin of Rose’s shoulder. Her eyelashes fluttered, and her eyes snapped open at the sudden chill. With a yawn, Rose rose from her bed.
A sharp, unfamiliar sound escaped her throat—a low, guttural roar. She clapped a hand over her mouth, eyes wide in shock. What the hell was that? she thought. She hadn’t expected to ever hear such a sound come from herself.
"Where did that come from? I hope that wasn’t me," she mumbled to no one but herself.
"Yuna... did you hear that too?" she asked her wolf.
But Yuba remained silent.
"Well, it seems like that sound came from me... but at the same time, it didn’t," Rose whispered, pressing her lips together. That wasn’t the most pressing issue, though.
She turned to the other side of the bed, but Rolan wasn’t there—unlike his usual self.
The place was eerily quiet. Something about it felt... off. A strange vibe lingered in the air.
She stepped down from the bed, walked over to the mirror, and examined her face. No visible scratches or marks, but her expression was a mess of confusion. She went into the bathroom to wash up.
Thirty minutes later, she stepped out of the bedroom dressed in a clean, elegant outfit. Once everything was in place, she opened the door and stepped into the hallway. Almost instantly, she noticed it—servants gathered around, tense, some visibly shaking.
Rose frowned. Something wasn’t right. Why are they acting like that?
