The Substitute Bride Is Reborn and Loves Her Husband No more

Chapter 126: Look at nature

As they made their way toward the beach, Rolan pushed Rose in a wheelchair. The outskirts of the beach were lively, with coconut trees swaying in the breeze. The sea and ocean were alive with movement, and flying creatures made noise, signaling the vibrancy of life. Rose folded her arms, feeling helpless. Rolan had brought her here, saying she needed fresh air and some relief—a vacation. But how was she supposed to enjoy this vacation when she was with the person she hated more than anything? Rose wondered to herself.

"Look at nature," Rolan said. "How long has it been since you’ve seen nature like this? Isn’t it beautiful? Can’t you appreciate it for once?" he asked, moving to catch a butterfly that had flown by. He opened Rose’s palm and placed the butterfly in her hand. "Isn’t it beautiful? Back in the city, do you see butterflies like this?"

Rose stared at the butterfly in her hand, her thoughts drifting. She wanted to ask Rolan something, but she was so focused on the delicate creature. As the butterfly’s wings fluttered, she noticed tiny dust particles falling from it. She was shocked to see that the butterfly seemed to be losing its beauty.

"What’s wrong with the little guy? Is it sick?" she murmured softly, feeling pity for the butterfly.

"It’s just okay," Rolan said. "A butterfly doesn’t need you to hold it for long. You should let it go." He stretched out his hand and held Rose’s, and Rose let the butterfly leave her palm.

"Do you think showing me a little butterfly will calm my mood and make me stop being angry with you, Mister Rolan? Do you think you’re very smart?" Rose said, trying to act tough. She wouldn’t let him see her weakness in any way, no matter how kind he was being.

"For your information, I wasn’t distracted by the butterfly you showed me," Rose continued, trying to pretend she wasn’t affected by the butterfly on her palm. "Since you weren’t touched by the butterfly, how about some coconut drink?" Rolan simply nodded, and someone appeared out of nowhere, rolling a coconut drink toward her. Rolan took it and placed it in her hand. The coconut drink smelled nice, and she took a sip, but then she pulled it back, pretending to be upset.

"I don’t want to drink it," she said, acting like she wasn’t tempted by the drink.

"Don’t be shy. It’s just a simple drink," Rolan said.

"I know it’s just an ordinary drink, and that’s exactly why I don’t want to drink it. You can’t buy me with some ordinary juice, Rolan. And I hate every moment I’m spending with you right now. I don’t want to stay with you at all."

Rose suddenly rolled her wheelchair away.
