Zara held her phone anxiously, dialing Rose’s number, but it wasn’t reachable. She bit her lip, panicking, wondering where her best friend Rose could be. She was deeply worried—Rose couldn’t work or help herself at the moment, so where could she have gone? Who could have helped her? The phone made a sound like it was ringing, but no one answered the call.
Damien, sitting beside her, tried dialing the number too, but still couldn’t reach it. The network was unreachable for Rose’s number. What he didn’t know was that Rolan had blocked the number—with an evil smirk on his face.
"Where did you go? Why weren’t you there with Rose?" Zara turned to Damien, staring at him. She regretted the words the moment they left her mouth, but she was just concerned. She quickly apologized, "I’m so sorry, Damien. I’m just worried about my friend—where she’s gone or what might have happened to her. I didn’t mean to lash out at you."
Damien placed his hand in his pocket and nodded. "I understand that you’re worried about Rose. I’m worried about her too. She is my maid," he added with a smirk.
Zara stared at him skeptically, having nothing more to say, and kept dialing the number.
"Who could have taken Rose? Where could she have gone?" Zara muttered to herself, mind racing with possibilities.
Damien was thinking too, eyes narrowing. "Who could have taken her? There’s someone... someone creepy. They’ve been leaving strange messages around her—like threats."
Zara gritted her teeth. "I know who might have taken Rose." The anger in her voice was unmistakable. She snatched her phone and quickly dialed another number.
"Of course she had Jennifer’s number. That bitch. Sometimes, it’s better to keep in contact with your enemies."
Jennifer’s phone connected immediately, and Zara was met with her sarcastic voice.
"Bitch, why are you calling me?"
