Chapter 12: The burglar
"Who are you...? How did you get into my house?" Her body was stiff, staring at the stranger who had broken into her house and also saved her from falling. Her eyes dropped in disappointment when she saw that he was wearing a mask.
Was the man a thief? Was he here to steal from her?
"Is knowing who I am in this situation important?" The burglar's arm around her waist held her tighter, and he shrugged his shoulder, looking at her. His voice sounded amused.
Why was the vibe coming from him a little familiar, like someone she knew?
"You are a burglar, right? I locked my gate—how did you get in here?" Rode questioned, her heart still racing with the stranger who had just come in unwelcome.
"Your heart called me to you," the stranger said in his deep, cold voice. The voice was so heavy and deep, like a man who had caught a cold for three days. His voice alone frightened her a lot.
"What kind of burglar are you? Are you a perverted burglar?" She gulped, asking the question. The burglar's eyes shifted a bit, and she instantly feared that her trail of thoughts was the truth. Thinking of it, the burglar seemed like a pervert—the hand on her waist was rubbing back and forth.
It was very obvious... very perverted.
"Yes... honey, I came here to rob your body."
She could feel laughter hidden in his tone. The burglar was laughing at her, as if she had cracked a joke. The burglar had said yes. His words had brought her to think back rationally. No, he shouldn't do anything of the sort to her. If it was stealing he wanted to do, he should do it quickly and just leave. She hoped that Tobi wouldn't leave the parlor and come to the kitchen. He should remain there and not make a single sound. Some burglars could be very messy even if they got what they wanted. Nothing should happen to her poor, innocent babies.
"My body?... You are really a pervert, aren't you?"
