Chapter 216: _About To Fight Vampires.
Elder Gita’s whisper rang louder than any bell.
The vampires were here. My heartbeat quickened at that realization and I only thought of one person. Phoebe.
I turned to Lycan Davos, who had already stiffened at the news. He stepped forward as he met my gaze. "Orders, Alpha?"
"Send a 10 men team to the borders as scouts, we need to know what we are dealing with. They know the rule, no one walks alone." I ordered, leaving the hall.
I knew I had to be fast with the preparations for the war, but I had to get to Phoebe first. She was my priority.
I ran to the Alphas mansion as fast as I could, my mind racing with Elder Gita’s words once more. What if there was a slight possibility that Phoebe was who we needed to win this war?
No! I couldn’t let that happen, I was the Alpha. I was meant to protect my pack, all and sundry. I couldn’t just pass my duties to Phoebe because she’s an hybrid while I sit back. No way! I would protect her at all costs.
My steps quickened as I entered the mansion, reaching my suite. As I pushed the door open, my gaze immediately landed on the bed.
She was still unconscious, sleeping peacefully, unaware of the trouble knocking at our doors.
Her face was pale, her breathing steady. She looked fragile, too fragile for someone supposedly meant to win this war.
Her mom sat by her side, the same position she had been when I left the room, holding Phoebe’s hand. Her dad sat on the sofa his shoulders slouched and his eyes showed how worried he was.
