Chapter 202: _The Battle
The air in the training grounds was thick with restless energy. The warriors roared in excitement and their faces carried determination.
Kaene continued, his voice boomed with authority and dominance. "The hunters are hiding in the forest, just beyond the pack’s borders. We will move in groups, no one fights alone."
I didn’t understand how he knew where they were hiding, but I let go of the thought. All that mattered was getting rid of the hunters.
The warriors listened attentively, nodding in understanding as he continued.
"We will be in four teams. Alan, Elijah, Lycan Davos and I will lead each team." He proceeded to divide the warriors present into four teams.
I stood impatiently as I watched him divide them. We honestly had no time.
The hunters could arrive any minute. I was anxious.
"We will move together, but split up once we near their camp. Team one will attack head on from the front, distracting them. We will take down their defenses and weaken them." He gestured for a a group of warriors to move next to him.
"Team two will charge from the west, attacking them from both sides when they dispatch their men to the front line for support." He turned to Sir Elijah, his voice was cold but professional.
I noticed the change in his tone when he spoke to Sir Elijah, he didn’t like him. I didn’t like him either, but I couldn’t deny his expertise when it comes to wars.
"Team three will stay behind, to take care of any strays that may manage to reach the pack." He pointed at Sir Alan, who nodded and quickly gathered his men.
