It all went black.

I was sure of it. I was sure I was dead.

However, during my descent into darkness, my subconscious could pick up the sound of sobs and someone calling my name.

"Kaene, please wake up..." The voice was like a siren song, drawing me away from the darkness.

However, the darkness was like a black hole, pulling me in forcefully until I felt like I didn’t have a choice.

Until I felt like the darkness was natural. Maybe this is the end.

’It’s more... Empty than I imagined.’ I thought to myself, trying to scan my gaze around the vast, black emptiness.

Here, I didn’t have a body and my senses seemed obsolete.

However, just when the cries began becoming more distant, a different voice spoke up.
