Elder Gita’s words from earlier that night rang in my head as a reminder of how severe the situation surrounding Miranda’s death was.
"Someone placed a spell on that girl."
So, did that mean a witch killed her?
Elder Gita had said it was unlikely since the spell was placed on her days before her death.
But then again... What if the witch had cast a spell on her for whatever reason and then decided to kill her?
These things disturbed my mind but nothing would’ve prepared me for the drama that was waiting for me at the Alpha mansion.
"Phoebe stole your mother’s blue Luna necklace." Elsa had come to the scene of the crime, dragged me aside, and reported it to me.
She held onto her face, pouting dramatically as I glanced back at the Alpha council members and Elder Gita who all stared at us curiously while murmuring to themselves.
Argh, this girl was drawing unnecessary attention to me for nothing!
