On another note, I’m kinda disappointed that there isn’t a Legendary Feat for being the first person in the System to kill a Corruptor. Since the other Quantum Beings aren’t in the System.
I let out a sigh at that thought before turning around to look at the surrounding Quantum Beings. Only to find most of them having already left.
Either that or they’re currently leaving.
With the exception of the Quantum Cleaner. Seeing as he has to deal with this galaxy now that I’ve cleared it of corrupted creatures.
Hmm. Well, putting aside that grumpy fella, I need to get to work on those requirements for reaching Ascendant Tier.
And they are some rather harsh requirements.
Killing twenty-five Corruptors will take a while. Not to mention killing a Tier 5 user. Since I have to wait for another user in the System to reach Tier 5.
Which will take quite a long time in and of itself. Ignoring the whole killing them aspect.
I can’t even just power level them by letting others into my dungeon either. Because my dungeon is kind of emptied out other than that one Ascendant Tier monster in it.
If I let people inside, they’d just die.
And dungeons don’t reset unless they’re cleared.
As for the fact that it says Corruptors and the Tier 5 being separately?
That probably means that the Corruptors don’t count for the Tier 5 being kill.
Although I’ll find out either way when I start hunting Corruptors.
Then there’s the ‘Raise Energy Manipulation to Tier 5’ requirement.
That will take a while.
And it’ll take even longer to bring another skill up to Ascendant Tier.
While going around searching for the next Corruptor to fight against, I glance through my list of skills to find which skill I want to focus on and bring to Ascendant Tier. But it doesn’t really take long to decide.
After all, it’s one of the very first skills I ever got and the one at my highest level right now.
Quantum Displacement.
My teleportation skill that I use more often than any other skill.
Right now I have Quantum Displacement closing in on the end of Tier 4. So I just have to bump it up to Tier 5 then focus on leveling it to Ascendant Tier.
Which will also take a while.
I let out a sigh at that thought.
I wonder just how many years it’ll take for me to clear these requirements…
With that dreadful thought in mind, I continue my search for Corruptors. All the way until I find another one four galaxies later. At which point I begin my fight with it.

And just like my last fight against a Corruptor, it proves rather difficult and long winded.
But I prevail in the end.
It actually ends up being a bit easier than the last Corruptor fight now that I’ve done it before. Especially since Corruptors aren’t smart.
They may have some sapience unlike regular corrupted creatures, but they’re still not very smart.
So I eventually finish the thing off. Once again summoning the Quantum Cleaner in the process to clean up the galaxy.
And as usual, he’s rather upset with me.
But I ignore him, also as usual.
It’s actually gotten rather easy to ignore the guy at this point.
Anyway, I continue hunting Corruptors one after another for entire years. To the point that I begin to lose track of how long it’s taking me by the time I kill my tenth Corruptor.
Albeit only the ninth on the requirements since the first one didn’t count.
And surprisingly enough, the moment I finish off the tenth one, a message directly from the universe appears in my vision.
For slaying ten Corruptors, you have been granted access to your true cloak.
Your Cloak of Souls.
With it you may collect the souls of others and use them as energy.
For your role is the commander of all souls.
You are the reaper of the universe.
Never forget that.
Hmm. Well then.
I glance at the cloak floating in the air in front of me with my lips pursed.
This item looks really good.

Description: This cloak absorbs all the souls of the corrupted and the dead around it and converts them into soul for the Quantum Reaper to recover with when she wishes.
Stats Bonus: +1000 MAG, 1000 MEN

Extremely good in fact.
The cloak itself is black and purple in color and looks incredibly noble in design. Like it’s meant for some king or queen.
Albeit a king or queen of rogues or something.
It also has an emblem of a scythe on it in the center of the cloak’s back.
Putting its looks aside, I immediately put on the cloak. Switching it out with my old one in the process.
This new cloak will be very useful in battle.
Giving me a way to recover my soul at last.
Right as I’m about to continue on my merry way searching for the next Corruptor, a System Notification appears in my vision. One that has me grinning.
