The moment the golden petals closed, all six wings of light returned to Gao Xinxin. In an instant, the sea of flowers scattered, and the land itself was rendered a haphazard heap of puzzle pieces. The golden lotus alone remained intact.

They had discussed thoroughly how they should face Gao Xinxin.

Qing Ling had conducted a test with her Xiu Dao, proving that the wings couldn’t cut a Black Gold weapon, but a Black Gold weapon couldn’t provide an effective defense against the wings, either.

Then Gao Yang shielded his arm with a high-density Golden Armor before touching the energy thread the wing morphed into as they dodged. His fingers ended up sliced off as easily as spring onions.

That proved the terrifying cutting power of the wings. They could most likely cut anything outside of Black Gold and Absolute Barriers.

The wings wouldn’t be that troublesome if they were only sharp. Before his monsterhood awakened, Wang Zikai’s bone stings were already about as fierce as Gao Xinxin’s wings. However, the bone stings were extensions of Wang Zikai’s body, meaning their reach and frequency of uses would be limited; hence, they weren’t that great a threat.
