Reincarnated as a Divine Tree

Vol. 1 - Ch. 182 - The Family Ironworks

📢 New Novel Launch!

“What’s going on?”

Outside the family estate, Shi Potian and his companion exchanged glances, both with traces of shock in their eyes. If their senses were correct, the Chen family had just gained two more martial artists of the Innate Realm in this short span of time! This kind of aura was definitely not their imagination.

But according to their earlier observations, the Chen family had only three martial artists at the late stage of the Blood Coagulation Realm. Could it be the Chen family’s patriarch? But that old man’s strength had long since waned with age, his qi and blood in decline. It was unlikely he could break through to the Innate Realm.

As for the other two, they had only recently reached the late stage of the Blood Coagulation Realm and hadn’t even fully consolidated that realm yet, let alone broken through to Innate.

For a moment, uncertainty flickered in their eyes. Could this be some hidden method the Chen family had been concealing all along?

As their gazes met again, caution replaced their earlier surprise, and their movements became much more careful. They were eager to know exactly what was happening inside the Chen family, but with the family totem in place, they dared not recklessly approach.

Still, both of them had already made up their minds—no matter what, they had to uncover the truth and report it to their family.

Inside the ancestral hall, as their realms stabilized after the breakthrough attempt, Chen Tianjing and Chen Tianyu both felt a sudden sense of clarity.

So this… is the Innate Realm.

Although they were still some distance from truly stepping into that realm, the road ahead was now clear. All that remained was the necessary accumulation of qi and blood to bridge the gap. For now, there was no need for worry—the cultivation resources the family had purchased last month were far from depleted, and several of the five-leaf flowers being nurtured in the Chaotic Burial Mountain were about to mature.

If they could just endure this period, the next harvest of the family’s blood rice should arrive soon.

At this pace, in a few more months, the Chen family would surely welcome two more martial artists of the Innate Realm.

The rest of the clansmen watched on, their eyes filled with excitement and yearning. Even though they weren’t the ones who had obtained the Divine Tree’s power, the current state of Chen Tianjing and Chen Tianyu represented their own future. Once they advanced to the Blood Coagulation Realm, wouldn’t they also have this very opportunity? And when that time came, how far could the Innate Realm be?

With the ritual completed, the clansmen did not linger. They turned and left the ancestral hall, returning to their daily duties as the Chen family resumed its ordinary operations.

The Great Sacrifice spanned seven days. Aside from the first day, which required complicated rituals, the following days only required scheduled sacrifices and occasional prayers at the ancestral hall.

“Qingyu, remember, this martial technique must never be revealed to outsiders.”

“I know.”

After learning that Chen Qingyu had comprehended that superior Earth-rank martial technique, Chen Xingzhen had personally reminded him of its importance. As the family’s only Innate Realm martial artist, Qingyu was probably the only one capable of mastering this technique. Still, they didn’t yet know exactly how powerful a superior Earth-rank martial technique would be in practice.

Leaving the ancestral hall, Chen Qingyu made his way toward the family forge.

This forge was newly built just last month, intended to produce iron tools for the clan’s use and, more importantly, to provide a facility for the clansmen to study and craft weapons using the refined iron they had purchased earlier.

Though it was still a work in progress, with guidance from several of the elders and diligent study by a few talented clansmen, they had already made considerable progress. Before long, the Chen family wouldn’t need to rely on external purchases at all—they could be fully self-sufficient.

Although Chen Qingyu had already grasped the fundamentals of that martial technique, he still needed a sword to wield it properly.

It didn’t take long for him to emerge from the forge carrying a freshly forged iron sword. The metal was still warm to the touch, nothing more than ordinary iron and only forged a few times—but for now, it would suffice.

Time passed steadily, and in the blink of an eye, seven days had gone by. Amidst the countless prayers of the clansmen, this Great Sacrifice finally drew to its conclusion.

In the ancestral hall, Ji Yang gazed steadily ahead.
