Kanzaki Ryoma didn't immediately understand why Kamishiro Rize was upset. She wasn't the type to get angry over small things. For a moment, he was completely lost. Was it really because he didn't give her the orange mask?
Then Rize suddenly spoke.
"I thought you were good at coaxing and understanding girls, but you can't even see through something this simple?"
Ryoma sighed. "I'm really lost in this case."
He looked genuinely puzzled. Without any hints, it was impossible to know what she was thinking on the spot.
"Have you forgotten what I like most about you?" Rize said, giving him a clue.
She wasn't the type to stay quiet and expect him to guess blindly. With the clue rize gave, Ryoma understood immediately.
If there was something Rize liked the most about him, it had to be his scent. Or maybe, more directly, his flesh. Thinking back, he had worn the orange mask earlier... and that explained it.
She didn't like the orange mask at all— what she liked was the smell.
Ryoma gave an awkward smile. "Got it. When we go to make a mask for you, I'll keep your preferences in mind."
"Does Miss Rize enjoy putting others in awkward positions so much?" a voice cut in suddenly.
