That illusion shattered the moment Aogiri Tree moved in. With only a handful of senior investigators stationed in the ward, CCG's response was sluggish and underprepared.

He moved through the branch like a ghost made of blood. Masked in white with jagged teeth carved across the face, he wore a dark red robe and loomed tall over the panicked investigators. Every bullet they fired hit its mark—but it didn't matter.
Noroi didn't flinch.
He was more monster than man. The only reason for that was clear: Noroi had been forcibly fused with Yoshimura's kagune by Eto. His own kagune melded into the structure, turning him into a regenerative tank, a living weapon with an endless appetite.
By now, every investigator capable of wielding a Quinque was dead. The survivors, mostly Rank 3 or Assistant Investigators, were left with Q bullets and blind terror. Their shots bounced off Noroi's body like rain on concrete. He advanced with unrelenting steps, absorbing bullets and devouring them one by one with a massive mouth-like kagune.
The screams never stopped.
