Chapter 21 - 12
Ryoma stared at the three choices before him.
If he were to think purely rationally, Choice 1—walking away—was the safest and most logical option.
Choice 2? Rescuing Rize would directly interfere with Furuta Nimura's plans, putting Ryoma in his crosshairs.
Choice 3? Voluntarily undergoing Dr. Kanou's half-ghoul experiment? That was the worst option.
Ryoma already had the power of Uchiha Madara. Becoming an artificial half-ghoul wouldn't benefit him much, and the risks far outweighed the rewards.
In the original story, Kanou conducted thousands of surgeries using Rize's Kakuhou. Only three people—Kaneki Ken, Kurona Yasuhisa, and Nashiro Yasuhisa—survived.
The success rate?
0.25%.
A one in four hundred chance.
Ryoma had no intention of gambling his life for 50 fusion points.
Then there was the issue of Furuta Nimura himself.
