Immortal Fairy Spirit Phoenix’s eyes burned with rage, and her face was grim and fierce. She was really not used to hearing obscene talk. Although the person possessing Spirit Phoenix did not come from as prestigious a background as the real Spirit Phoenix, she was still from a rich and noble family. And thus, killing intent was raging in her heart.

It wasn’t that she wanted to kill the hundred flowers. Nor did she want to kill the fox maiden. She wanted to kill... the consciousness that was possessing the fox maiden!

Fourth True Monarch had explained that, just like her, the fox maiden had been possessed by an outsider. She wasn’t sure exactly who it was. But she was determined to find out for sure after she left this place.

In response to her orders, the black-armored guards surged with killing intent and martial auras as they advanced. Instantly, a tempest screamed in all directions, with the goal of crushing everything in its path and destroying all of the hundred flowers.

However, the ladies of the Hundred Flowers Palace, though seemingly delicate, had all been selected directly by Young Lord Aurora. And all of them were extraordinary individuals. They didn’t just have good looks. They had dazzling talent, and none of them had weak cultivation bases. If they did, they couldn’t deserve to be named among the ‘hundred flowers.’

And what was even more noteworthy was that the fox maiden was in charge. Almost as soon as the black-armored guards unleashed their baleful auras, the ample-chested fox maiden sat up and crossed her legs.

Glaring, she said, “Every single one of us girls is a chosen cultivator. And every single one of us has been taken good care of by the young lord. We who live in the Hundred Flowers Palace are able to stand aloof from worldly affairs. How could a morning glory like you possibly claim that we’re filthy?

“Who cares if you’re getting married to the young lord? It’s not a real marriage, anyway! So how can you drive us away to anywhere? I’m very curious to see how you plan to get rid of us. Do you intend to just slaughter us right here and now??”

The fox maiden snorted coldly, whereupon the cultivation bases of all of the surrounding hundred flowers surged. Magical techniques and divine abilities formed in an instant. All of a sudden, Immortal Fairy Spirit Phoenix and her retinue found themselves facing stiff opposition. The proverbial swords were drawn and arrows nocked. Killing intent flared. Things looked like they were about to get violent very quickly.

Some distance away, Li Mengtu shivered as a voice spoke into his mind. It was Xu Qing. After getting his instructions, Li Mengtu rushed forward to stand in between the two parties.
