Chapter 72
I snapped out of my flashback when I found myself laying on the bed. But my luggage had already arrived in my room but I couldn’t find Ayla anywhere.
"Where did she go?" I said and tried to call out to her.
I came out of my room and started calling her name even louder when I found myself standing at the top of the stairs where I could see everything from up. My feet started trembling.
"No, no, this many stairs is nothing."
"I need to hold on and follow the stairs downstairs", I said and started moving forward but at the third stair my leg gave up. I felt as if I missed a place where I needed to place my feet.
I think this is the last time I ever came downstairs as this is giving me flashbacks of the last time when I was so near to death.
"Ayla"
"I got you"
I don’t know who holds me but I’m sure I’m saved.
He was holding me from behind but suddenly he carried me down and made me sit on the couch while I was still trying to breathe.
He checked my body temperature which made me look up, making me realise it was Jace.
"What is happening to you?" he asked.
