Ayla POV
"Dad, tell me what you said is true or not?" I asked while I could see there is an unfamiliar presence in front of me who kept looking at me.
"Baby, you should rest so go to your room", Dad tried to send me away when I asked, "Is it true I’m adopted?" He took his step back.
There was silence in the air.
"How long has it been since you stood there?" he asked while his eye fell on the unfamiliar person.
"You knew?" he asked, looking at him.
He stayed silent.
"Dan, I’m asking you something!!!!! Answer me if you know about her standing there or not?????" Dad sounded impatient while the person removed his hand from his shoulder.
"Taylor, calm down", he sounds gentle.
"How the fuck do you want me to calm myself down????? I shouldn’t have trusted you when you kept on telling me to tell her the truth. I thought maybe you understood me but in the end, you knew she was listening but you didn’t even bother to stop me but you kept on continuing to stand there and let her hear everything."
"Just how you want me to behave when you ruined everything."
I’m standing above the stairs waiting for an explanation but I can already hear my heart shattering into pieces. I can see some glimpse of those memories I lost when I’m standing in the same position while dad kept trying to come to me but I kept on stopping him. but Jace and mom still are in the same position which is so far from me.
