"You’re leaving the country?" Zhan Hanjue frowned.
Xia Wenlei had remained unmarried for a long time and was known as a wealthy single woman with a family fortune. She had said before that she didn’t plan to marry, so she often held parties and was a famous socialite in Jiangcheng.
Now saying she’s suddenly leaving the country is truly strange.
Xia Wenlei nodded slightly embarrassedly, "I have a boyfriend who hopes I can go to his hometown to live with him. If I take this child, it might be inconvenient. You know, living abroad with a young girl is full of dangers. So, it might be better to leave her in the country."
"But she is neither related to us nor familiar with us. Miss Xia, are you at ease?" Ningwan laughed and asked.
Xia Wenlei said, "Miss Ye is a doctor with a healer’s kindness, always compassionate towards patients, let alone a child. I’m naturally assured of Miss Ye’s character, so I’m comfortable leaving the child with you. As for Mr. Zhan, I know Mr. Zhan is very angry about the matters involving Feng Qianru and my brother, and holds some resentment. But Xiaxia has considered you her father for years. My brother may have wronged you, but ultimately, you both grew up as childhood friends. I am fully confident you will not be harsh to his daughter. So, I have no worries entrusting her to you both."
Ningwan thought, thank you indeed for your trust, thanks to your family.
The two left the Xia Family, just in time to run into an agent showing the house to potential buyers.
It seems Xia Wenlei is truly planning to sell the house.
However, whether she really found a boyfriend and left with him remains unknown.
"This child is just being dumped in our hands." After leaving, Ningwan sighed to Zhan Hanjue.
Zhan Hanjue chuckled and said, "If you want her gone, I can arrange for her to go elsewhere. We’ll find a good family to adopt her."
"I do want her gone, but I’m afraid your precious son won’t agree." Ningwan rolled her eyes.
Zhan Hanjue thought of Little Tuantuan, who indeed liked Xiaxia a lot and had clearly told him to keep Xiaxia around.
It seems they have to pass this obstacle if they want to send Xiaxia away.

"Brother, will Dad send me away?" Xiaxia asked timidly, looking at Tuantuan.
Tuantuan patted his chest and assured, "No, as long as I’m here, they won’t send you away."
"But I think your mommy will definitely send me away. They’ve left, probably going to Grandpa’s house." Xiaxia lowered her head, her eyelashes trembling slightly, her childish voice tinged with grievance.
Tuantuan bit his lip.
Actually, he knew that Dad and Mommy had gone out and headed to the Feng Family.
They must still want to send Xiaxia back to the Feng Family, hence they went there to discuss it.
"Xiaxia, do you want to go back to your Grandpa’s house?" Tuantuan asked.
Xiaxia shook her head, stretched out her little hand to hug Tuantuan, and choked while complaining, "I don’t want to. Brother, I just want to be with you."
"Alright, I won’t let them send you away." Tuantuan extended his hand and gently patted her back.
"Brother, what good plan do you have?" Xiaxia let go of him, with tear drops clinging to her eyelashes.
Tuantuan thought for a moment and said, "I’ll take you away; that way, they won’t be able to send you away."
"Why?" Xiaxia didn’t understand.
Tuantuan also didn’t know how to explain to her; essentially, this was all his little brain could think of.
He held Xiaxia’s hand, went upstairs, and packed some luggage.
However, they were too small to carry much.
So Tuantuan just took some cash and a phone.
When Zhan Hanjue and Ningwan returned, they found the two children missing and immediately asked the servants.
The servant looked bewildered and hurriedly explained, "I saw the young master and young miss playing here earlier, but they disappeared in no time."
"Check the surveillance, they might have slipped out," Ningwan asserted.
Zhan Hanjue said, "No way! What would they run out for?"
Ningwan replied, "You know his temperament. This little guy runs off if things aren’t agreeable. He must have gone out because he was afraid we’d send Xiaxia away. Quickly, check the surveillance! Maybe we’ll find them."
Zhan Hanjue immediately had the surveillance footage checked.
Sure enough, they saw the two little ones sneaking out when there was a change of guard at the door.
Zhan Hanjue looked very displeased.
Unexpectedly, the security at home is so poor. Luckily, it’s the kids who went out themselves. What if bad guys intruded?
Zhan Hanjue thought of Housekeeper Wu.
When Housekeeper Wu was around, there were no such lapses.
"First, find the children. Once we find them, I’m going to reorganize the household security," Zhan Hanjue said.
Ningwan didn’t persuade him otherwise; she agreed with his thoughts.
If even two little kids can get out, it shows how weak the security is.
In such a case, not reorganizing the home would be foolish.
Actually, it wasn’t necessary to make a big fuss to find them.
Ningwan called Ye Shao and immediately asked, "Did Tuantuan come to you?"
Ye Shao was embarrassed and laughed awkwardly, "Sis, you didn’t have to find out this soon."
Ningwan breathed a sigh of relief; it seemed they really went looking for Ye Shao.
This way, she was relieved.
"As long as they’re with you, we were worried since they suddenly ran out from home. Keep an eye on them, we’re coming to pick them up soon."
"Sis, why don’t you delay a bit? The little guy said he doesn’t want to go back now."
"There’s always a reason. Tell me why, and I might delay picking him up," Ningwan said.
Ye Shao handed the phone to Tuantuan.
Tuantuan took the phone but didn’t speak, waiting for Ningwan to speak first.
Ningwan had to ask, "Tuantuan, why run away from home? Why don’t you want to come back?"
"You want to send Xiaxia away; I want to protect her," Little Tuantuan said righteously.
Ningwan was both amused and annoyed, "Who said we’re sending Xiaxia away?"
"You went to Xiaxia’s Grandpa’s house, didn’t you?" Tuantuan said.
Ningwan explained, "I did go to Xiaxia’s Grandpa’s house, but I never said we were sending Xiaxia away. We need to gain her family’s consent to adopt Xiaxia, or what if they come to take her back from us?"
"So, you’re not sending Xiaxia away?" Tuantuan asked excitedly.
Ningwan said, "I have never said I would send Xiaxia away."
"Mommy, I love you, I’ll be back soon with Xiaxia," Tuantuan hung up excitedly.
Ningwan couldn’t help but laugh, turning to Zhan Hanjue, "You can take your time reorganizing the house; the kids are coming back soon."
Zhan Hanjue nodded, immediately put on a serious face, and called Housekeeper Li over for a talk.
However, Ye Shao hadn’t spent enough time with the kids; Tuantuan soon asked him to take them back.
Ye Shao coaxed, "Sweetie, why don’t we go back a bit later? Uncle can take you to the amusement park."
"No interest, don’t want to go," Tuantuan refused.
However, Xiaxia’s eyes lit up, looking at Ye Shao expectantly.
But she was a well-behaved and polite girl, so she wouldn’t make it an outright request even if she wanted to go.
Tuantuan, however, noticed from her gaze and told Ye Shao, "Alright, Uncle, take us to the amusement park."
