Just before getting off work, Wen Mei finally placed a document on her desk.
"Yu Xin, take this project proposal to the secretary’s office outside the president’s office, and you can get off work."
"Okay, I’ll take it right away." Meimei stood up from her seat, grabbed the proposal, and headed out.
Once in the elevator, she suddenly remembered that the top floor was Dan Tingye’s territory, and this document was to be delivered to Secretary Lin. Was it meant for him?
Would she see him?
No way, no way! She’s just an intern. If it were a document for the president, Director Wen wouldn’t have given it to her.
It must just be an ordinary document for the secretary’s office to deal with, nowhere near reaching Dan Tingye.
"Ding—"
The elevator doors opened, and Meimei, holding the document, walked out.
She had been here before, and she was familiar with the place. Without much hesitation, she headed towards Secretary Lin’s office.
"Secretary Lin, this is the document Director Wen asked me to bring up." Meimei stood in front of the secretary’s desk and spoke politely.
The Dan Group’s secretary office was large, considered almost a separate department, but the only one who could stay on the top floor and directly take orders from the president was Secretary Lin.
Besides Yao, perhaps the person who understood Dan Tingye best was Secretary Lin, who had been by his side for many years.
"Miss Meimei, this is the document the president needs. Please take it to him personally."
Seeing Meimei, Secretary Lin’s smile was bright and he nodded towards the door of the president’s office.
"Me, take it in?" Meimei was taken aback, pointing to her own little nose in surprise.
"Yes, the president has been waiting for this document for a long time. You should deliver it quickly." When Secretary Lin saw Meimei still standing still, he urged more eagerly.
"Oh." Meimei hesitated for a moment, then hugged the document and walked towards Dan Tingye’s office.
Secretary Lin only breathed a long sigh of relief once he saw her figure disappear by the door.
If the president had done this earlier, it would’ve saved him the hassle of going to the staff cafeteria just to catch a glimpse. Calling her up directly would’ve been more convenient, right?

"President, here’s the document you asked for; I’ll leave it on your desk." Meimei entered the office, saw Dan Tingye immersed in work, placed the document down, and then looked up at him.
He looked really good when focused on work.
His handsome face carried no expression, cold enough to intimidate but in his every move, he exuded an air of command. This complex aura was perfectly integrated into him.
Realizing he wasn’t paying her any attention, she didn’t know if she should leave, so she kept standing in front of his desk... sneaking glances at him!
The more she watched, the more captivated she became. In the end, she forgot she was there to deliver the document and just stared straight at him.
"Satisfied with what you’re seeing?"
Dan Tingye suddenly put down his pen, looked up at her, his deep black eyes carrying a hint of teasing, as his lips curled into a mischievous smile.
"..."
Meimei’s big, bright eyes blinked, somewhat dazed at him, and when she came to her senses, her face turned bright red.
"I was just getting impatient waiting, so I glanced a couple of times."
After she spoke, she wanted to slap herself.
What a pointless explanation, it felt like she was only making it worse...
"What did you just call me?" Dan Tingye suddenly turned the conversation, his sharp brows furrowing.
