"Miss, what’s wrong?" The assistant froze for a few seconds upon seeing her squat down, then quickly walked forward, ready to help her."No! Don’t touch me! My stomach hurts!" Meimei clutched her stomach tightly, her delicate face all wrinkled like a bun.
"You probably drank too much yogurt today and have a bit of a stomach ache. You need to go get the necklace, and while you’re at it, bring me some medicine back. Otherwise, how can I attend the banquet later?"
"But Miss, you’re not feeling well. I should take you to the rest room first."
"I’m just a bit uncomfortable. Don’t delay, go quickly and come back. If you take too long, what if I feel even worse later?" Meimei abruptly interrupted the assistant, moving her hand from her abdomen to her waist and pinching her skin, inhaling sharply from the pain.
Her face, which was just a little pale earlier, now turned completely white, with cold sweat appearing on her forehead.
"I can go back to the room myself. Hurry up and go!" Meimei pressed her voice, urged again, and slowly stood up from the ground, her hand still pressing on her stomach, looking pitifully at the assistant.
"...I’ll be back right away." The assistant finally turned and got in the car, quickly driving away.
"Phew—"
All set!
Watching the assistant’s departing figure, Meimei slowly stood straight up, jogged forward, and couldn’t resist shouting as the car disappeared from sight.
She was really overjoyed. The entire day felt like someone was choking her. Now that no one was watching, she could finally breathe properly.
The first thing she did seemed to be to quickly reach the rest room, wait for the dress to be delivered, and tell her situation to Tingye.
