Chapter 2644: Chapter 2644: A Difficult Condition (Part 1)
Conditions...As soon as Bai Zheng spoke, Meimei immediately looked up at him with surprise and delight.
That he was willing to set conditions meant he was willing to let her stay. As long as she could stay, she was willing to accept any conditions!
"Don’t be so quick to be happy. Don’t you want to know what my conditions are?" Bai Zheng’s eyes narrowed slightly, looking at the happy Meimei, coldly dousing her with a bucket of cold water.
But Meimei wasn’t affected in the slightest; instead, she obediently nodded, "Daddy, you tell me, I’m listening."
Not only was Meimei listening, Dan Tingye and Jiang Nan also perked up their ears, afraid to miss a single word.
"I want you to represent the Bai Group at the charity event being held next month." Bai Zheng paused, looking at the momentarily stunned expression on Meimei’s face, but he did not stop, continuing, "Also, officially enter the Bai Group, starting from the bottom as an intern."
"Daddy, I..."
Meimei hadn’t expected Bai Zheng to propose such conditions, and she was momentarily frozen.
Having her represent the Bai Group at the charity event was tantamount to appearing publicly, and once her identity was exposed, the media would undoubtedly see her as the heir to the Bai Group.
Not to mention, Bai Zheng wanted her to start interning at the Bai Group from the bottom afterward. She didn’t want to enter the group so early.
"What’s wrong? Weren’t you just full of confidence, but now your little face has fallen; is it that you can’t do it?" Bai Zheng raised an eyebrow, his expression calm, not at all surprised by Meimei’s reaction.
"Mr. Bai, Meimei is just starting to learn corporate management, and she has a lot of coursework. Making her intern at the Bai Group so early may be too taxing for her, and the effect might not be good. Why not let her attend the charity event first and discuss the internship later?"
