"What are you worried about?" Dan Tingye raised an eyebrow.Jiang Nan immediately looked overwhelmed, clutching his head with both hands, showing a manic posture, "Of course I’m worried about Meimei! She’s been missing for fifteen years, not fifteen days!"
"You should know that with Mr. Bai around, she’ll be doing well." Dan Tingye’s eyes flickered as he tried hard to hide his inner feelings, speaking softly.
Upon hearing this, Jiang Nan deflated, slumping on the sofa with a lonely expression, "Of course I know she’s doing well, but I’m starting to forget how she looked when she was little. After so many years, if she doesn’t appear soon, I’m worried that even if she stands in front of me, I might not recognize her!"
After a moment of silence, Jiang Nan looked at him with hopeful eyes, "Brother, you’re so capable, and with the resources of Dan Group, it should be much easier for you to find someone than me. Haven’t you thought about checking where Meimei is?"
Fifteen years have passed since Bai Zheng left with Ye Mingmei and Meimei, and they haven’t returned for a whole fifteen years.
Every time there’s a family gathering, they stretch their necks in anticipation, hoping to see the person they’ve been waiting for, only to return disappointed each time.
"I’ve thought about it, and I’ve searched, but couldn’t find anything."
Dan Tingye stepped forward, sat down at his desk, and reached for the documents he had just arranged, his gaze darkened.
If he could find even a hint, he wouldn’t have waited all these years before making up his mind to go find her.
"Even you can’t find her? Are you kidding me?"
Jiang Nan looked incredulous, rushing to his desk, grabbing his arm with both hands, "Brother, then ask aunt! She cares so much about Meimei, surely she can’t stay calm with no news of Meimei for so many years. Otherwise, have her ask uncle, he’s so capable..."
