Chapter 2473: The Key to the Yu Family Graveyard (5)
Mr. Bai waited under the Ye Corporation building for about ten minutes before he saw his assistant returning, crestfallen, with the gift.
"Mr. Bai, Miss Ye refused it, saying she’s been too busy with work to have time, and she returned the gift without even accepting it."
The assistant cautiously observed Mr. Bai, expecting to see an angry expression, yet surprisingly, there was no reaction at all. Mr. Bai simply gazed out the window calmly, his line of sight reaching toward the direction of Ye Mingmei’s office.
"She’s avoiding me, so how would she give me the chance to invite her to dinner?"
This outcome was within his expectations; there was nothing surprising about it.
"What do we do now? Miss Ye is unwilling to meet, and Ye Zhanxing won’t let us see the young lady. How can we get the apartment keys?"
The assistant frowned, worry written all over his face.
Without solving the Yu family’s issue, Mr. Bai’s identity remains in constant danger of being exposed.
Moreover, the current headmaster of the Yu family constantly wants Mr. Bai dead, remaining a threat that hinders Mr. Bai from bringing back Ye Mingmei and her daughter.
"If we can’t see Meimei at the Ye Family Villa, we’ll change locations." Mr. Bai paused for a few seconds before speaking leisurely.
