Chapter 2396: Seriously Disdainful
"Are you taking Meimei out?" Su Yiru was taken aback by how readily Ye Mingmei agreed.
"You told me to go out for a walk. I’m following your advice and heading out now." Ye Mingmei smiled faintly, walked over to the carpet, picked up Meimei, who was playing with a puzzle, and went to their room to change her clothes.
Staying home listening to Su Yiru’s nagging was less appealing than taking her daughter out.
It seemed like it had been a long time since she last picked out clothes for Meimei; it was always Su Yiru who did the shopping.
Reflecting on this, she realized she hadn’t been a very responsible mother.
It had been three years without any news from Yu Xiuzhun, and she couldn’t live clinging to false hopes any longer. She needed to learn to care for those around her, especially her always well-behaved Meimei.
"Mom, where are we going?"
When Ye Mingmei picked up Meimei, she was holding two puzzle pieces, unsure where to place them. Suddenly being carried into her mother’s arms, her doll-like face was filled with confusion, staring blankly at Ye Mingmei, wondering why her mother was holding her.
Her big, lovely eyes blinked while her small mouth pouted.
"Sorry, I forgot to ask you. How about we go out shopping now?" Ye Mingmei quickly put her down and lovingly touched her delicate little face as she asked.
