Chapter 2364: Meimei’s Hidden Secret
"It’s your Uncle Diwu coming to see you."
Ye Mingmei reached out to touch her head. "But even if Uncle Diwu is coming over, you still need to finish your homework first before you can play with him. What homework did the teacher assign this week?"
After speaking, Ye Mingmei gestured to the housekeeper to fetch Meimei’s backpack.
As soon as Meimei heard her words, her big eyes blinked and she suddenly sprang up from the sofa, rushing toward her backpack, tightly hugging it so the housekeeper couldn’t touch it.
"Meimei, what’s wrong?" Ye Mingmei was startled and immediately looked at her daughter, whose face showed a hint of panic, and she furrowed her brows in confusion.
Since Meimei was a month old, she returned to work. Firstly, to prevent herself from overthinking, and secondly, because watching her daughter grow increasingly like Yu Xiuzhun made her fear she couldn’t handle it.
Even though she didn’t spend much time with her daughter usually, Meimei was still very close to her.
Meimei spent most of the time with the nanny, but every weekend, she would cling to her, asking her to teach her how to do homework.
Yet today...
"Did something happen at kindergarten?" Ye Mingmei’s eyes flashed as she looked at Meimei in front of her, not rushing to take her backpack but softening her voice, beckoning her over.
