Ye Mingmei was already doubtful that she could be pregnant since her period had just ended, and this completely dispelled her concerns. She took the prescription, thanked the doctor, and went to line up for the medication.
The doctor’s office suddenly became empty.

"Mr. Yu, I have said exactly what you instructed. Miss Ye is indeed pregnant, and there was a risk of miscarriage. Although the situation has stabilized, she still needs to be careful. You don’t want her to know, but if by any chance she accidentally..."
The old doctor didn’t get to finish his sentence before Yu Xiuzhun fiercely glared at him.
"If I hear a word of a curse about my child come from your mouth, I’ll kill you right now!" Yu Xiuzhun gritted his teeth.
His hands pressed on the desk, eyes filled with menace.
Beads of sweat formed on his forehead; he had rushed over and hadn’t even had time to catch his breath.
He took a checkbook from his pocket, wrote down a number, tore it off, and threw it in front of the old doctor.
