Chapter 241: Broken Moon (3)

Even though the sky was covered in darkness, there was a mysterious purple moon which looked like a large amethyst hanging in the sky.

The moonlight softly illuminated the city, and under that light, the city was quiet and peaceful, as if it was under a spell.

A Blue Girl was slowly walking down the moonlit street with a muscular man.

The buildings lining the street looked like they had jumped out of a fantasy novel.

The street exuded something that the Blue Girl could not get used to, no matter how many times she saw it, no matter how many years had passed.

In this fantasy world, there’s no Tyrannosaurus.

The Blue Girl grumbled without a sound.

The man beside her noticed that the girl was thinking about something useless, but just pretended not to know and hurried his steps.

As they passed the buildings that seemed to have jumped out of a fairy tale and entered the open square, a large fountain in the center of the city welcomed the girl and the man.

The water coming out from the fountain was shining in a mysterious color under the purple moonlight. It was an incredibly beautiful sight, but the man frowned as he looked at the crowd of people gathered around the fountain.

“Hmm, even in this northern part of the country, there are so many ‘fake’ alchemists around.”

“Well, there’s nothing we can do since I was the last real alchemist.”

Unlike the man who was very annoyed, the Blue Girl just smiled as if it didn’t matter.

“Even so, can they really call what they did alchemy since they can’t even handle a single mystic and just spray that dirty evolution liquid around?”

“Well, that’s definitely true.”

The Blue Girl turned her body 180 degrees, making her back facing against the fountain, and continued speaking while looking at the man.

“But if we look through old history books, there are records of ‘ancient alchemists’ calling alchemists like us ‘fake’.”

Then the blue girl chuckled and added, ‘Maybe it’s natural course.’

Seeing the girl acting like that, the man seemed to calm down. He rubbed his temple with his large hand and said.

“Then why don’t you tell me now about the thing you need my help with.”

“Oh, did you notice that?”

The Blue Girl giggled awkwardly, as if embarrassed that her true intention was discovered when she didn’t want to.

“You only call this teacher of yours when you need something. You heartless kid.”

As he said that, the man patted the blue girl’s head with his large palm.

“I’m not sure… Should I call it an Old book or a stone with lots of letters engraved on it. I need something like that.”

“…”

The man folded his arms and looked down at the girl as if telling her to say more.

“But, that thing is the ‘religion’s’ sacred relic…”

“Crazy bitch.”

As soon as the Blue Girl spoke, the man blurted out with a bewildered expression.
