Chapter 108: The Cruise Ship: Epilogue (1)
After dealing with the Blue Moon and leaving the cave, the lake was still the same. It was as quiet, clean, and mysterious as before.
In fact, the lake itself was such a nonsensical phenomenon that I thought it would naturally disappear once the Blue Moon was destroyed.
Either the water level could no longer be maintained and dried out,
Or…
The clean lake became polluted as the submerged city rusted and decayed.
However, neither happened.
What happened was that the ownership of the lake was transferred to me.
Yangcheon-gu Lake maintained its original appearance and became mine.
I also inherited the mind corruption ability that made Objects and the lake always ordinary to the eyes of humans. But, it had deteriorated to the point where it was hardly noticeable.
The Blue Reapers seemed elated to have a lake.
The energetic Blue Reapers asked me to entrust them with the management of the lake, and when I told them they should do what they wanted, they looked very happy.
The Blue Reapers were already gathered and divided their respective areas.
Why do they like it so much?
Was it just because the lake is nice?
In the end, I gained two abilities from defeating Blue Moon.
It was a mind corruption ability and an ability to control an area at will, just like the garden.
As dawn was already approaching, the sky was starting to turn blue.
Now that the incident was over, I brought the cruise ship carrying the people from Sehee Research Institute which had been evacuated to the garden back onto the lake.
It smelled a little like hot chocolate, but I guess it should be no problem.
Before long, the blue light of dawn began to illuminate the people scattered around the ship.
I could see them sleeping in various positions, disheveled and crooked, as if they had fallen asleep after a fun party.
Now that I think about it, a lot of time has passed. They must be really hungry now.
But when I looked at the people’s complexions, they seemed pretty fine.
Did the mini reapers continue to take care of them?
The Golden Reapers probably fed them hot chocolate, or perhaps the Blue Reaper did something with their magic.
As the sun grew stronger, casting a warm golden light across the deck, the researchers began to wake up one by one.
Sehee, who was lying in the center of the deck, woke up and mumbled.
“Keuuu. It’s morning already? When did I fall asleep?”
Sehee, who stretched her body in order to shake off the sleepiness, seemed a little taken aback as she looked at the lake which was shining brightly due to the sunlight.
Sehee, who looked a little sleepy, took out her cell phone from her pocket, checked it, and shouted in surprise with an expression that clearly told she had completely woken up.
“What happened? Why did time suddenly pass like this?”
Perhaps because so much time had passed since the last time she was awake, Sehee seemed quite surprised.
Sehee believed that the accident was caused by an Object and quickly ordered Kim Jungrwi to take care of the people’s safety.
“No one was hurt or missing. Luckily, it looks like we just fell asleep.”
“Ha, I’m so glad. There’s nothing more troublesome than coming to a place to visit and having an accident.”
Perhaps due to the fact that time had suddenly passed, the deck was becoming more and more cluttered.
Probably because no one was hurt, the mood of the people was not that bad.
“Reaper, I thought we’re going to have fun together at the lake, but time passed so quickly!”
Yerin said so as she looked a little depressed, perhaps sad that the vacation was ruined.
Even though Yerin had just experienced an Object related incident, she still remained the same.
The group couldn’t come to a conclusion between two conflicting opinions of whether they should make the most of the remaining time since they could do nothing about it and they should quickly return to the institute because it was dangerous here.
However, the one who concluded it came from a completely unexpected direction.
“You are from Sehee Research Institute, right? We are from the Object Association. We need to investigate the Yangcheon-gu Lake incident, so please cooperate.”
Everyone, including Sehee, was taken away by the association’s investigators.
I looked at Yerin, who looked particularly sad, from my simple containment room, and grabbed a piece of pudding and ate it.
Since it looked like everyone would be late, I should return to Sehee Research Institute first.
Hihihi!
