Chapter 343 - 213 Preparation in Place, Danger Approaching
Li Ang opened the case and quickly inspected the condition of the equipment inside; he only needed to lift the firearms to feel their weight to know if there was any issue. He didn’t really need to look closely because everything inside was brand new.
Included in the case, two of the sniper rifles were in a disassembled state, primarily for easier transport.
There were six guns in total; coupled with several concussion grenades and a generous pile of ammunition gifted alongside, the entire case weighed over a hundred pounds, significantly heavier than a standard suitcase.
Li Ang didn’t even ask for the price; he simply swiped 50,000 US dollars to the shooting range owner. These items, according to market prices, definitely wouldn’t cost this much, but after all, this was an irregular channel, and the extra could be seen as a convenience fee.
Unbeknownst to him, the shooting range owner, after calculating the cost of the weapons and adding the expenses incurred at the shooting range over the past few days, found it neatly summed up to nearly 50,000 dollars. The speed at which he calculated and his grasp of the black-market prices for weapons only solidified the owner’s assessment of the young man.
Even if he wasn’t a professional hitman, he must have had a master hitman as a mentor.
He took the weapons to the side of the shooting range to test fire each one.
This was also considered pre-acclimation to his weapons, understanding the feel of the guns; otherwise, taking them home, he wouldn’t have such an ideal place to practice.
Seeing Li Ang preparing to assemble the sniper rifles, a shooting instructor came over. He had been following Li Ang these past few days and was utterly bored; the young man’s shooting skills were significantly better than his own, leaving no room for him to teach.
Now, seeing him assemble a gun, the instructor’s eyes lit up. That was his specialty; he used to be a gun enthusiast, intimately familiar with the construction of firearms. Originally, he wanted to become a freelance Mercenary, but due to insufficient physical fitness, he didn’t pass the recruitment and, forced by reality, had to settle in this small place as a shooting instructor.
