He was genuinely somewhat impressed by Li Ang’s thick skin, but out of consideration for his friend’s face, he just silently mocked in his head without openly ridiculing.

"I did bring a pen, kept it in the car just in case I ever ran into some big shot from the cycling world, so they could give me their autograph."

Little Eric, looking smug, took out a marker from the cup holder.

"Just sign on my clothes, and, oh, please sign my bike frame too. I think with your autograph as a blessing, I might be able to sell this second-hand bike for enough to buy more than two new ones."

"By the way, Peter, do you want Li Ang to sign something for you? This is a rare opportunity, and who knows if you’ll ever get to see him again."

"I’ll pass, I’m not into chasing celebrities."

Peter also stopped his bike, pretending to look at the distant traffic.

"Stop pretending, we all know you were even more excited than I was when you heard the news. Now all of a sudden you’re playing it cool."

Little Eric didn’t give him any face and publicly called him out.

"Well... fine, I’ll get one too."

Peter took off his own jacket and let Li Ang sign his name on it.
