Chapter 242 - 243: Mu Can’s Path
Early the next morning, Mu Can went to seek help from Xuanyuan Mingkong.
Nearly thirty soul bodies and one powerful ancestor spirit had left from the first layer of the Reincarnation Pearl. At least the same number of reasonably strong corpses were needed for them to reincarnate through body borrowing.

"Bodies? What do you need bodies for?" Xuanyuan Mingkong asked with a frown. He valued his disciple highly and was worried that Mu Can might be straying onto a crooked path upon hearing his request for bodies. After all, there were many deviant and sinister practices in the Mortal World that involved cultivating using corpses, all labeled as the Demon Sect.
"Rest assured, Master, I am not practicing any evil demonic methods. There really is a use for them this time."
Mu Can didn’t want to lie to Xuanyuan Mingkong, nor did he want to reveal the existence of the Reincarnation Pearl.
"If you don’t tell me what you need them for, I’m not going to find them for you."

After pondering for a moment, Mu Can thought about what to say.
"I rescued a group of soul bodies from the Demon Clan previously, and now I need to find physical bodies for them so they can have their own bodies again." Mu Can finally found an acceptable reason.
