Chapter 655: Kill the rumors
The meal was a joyous affair, with everyone speaking loudly over the other, lots of laughter and so much toasting every other minute that the old master joked about their glasses shattering as a result of it. But everyone was too happy to care, they just continued on.
After the meal, the old master looked at Chi Lian and said, "Chi-Chi dear, isn’t it about time for Phoenix news to announce Muyang’s recovery."
"Is it?" she asked him.
"Yes, It’s time to resurrect him." The old madam said, agreeing with her husband’s words. "I am tired of seeing people assume that he has passed away."
"The pictures of his face with flowers and RIP have been circulating rather rapidly lately, it’s almost as if someone has been pushing the news of his death." this was said by Manchu who was leaning against a chair with a plate of mango cake sitting on her protruding belly.
The sight of it had taken up all of Mei-Mei’s attention and the little girl was patiently waiting by the side with three of her own dolls. As soon as that plate came down from Manchu’s stomach, Mei-Mei’s dolls would replace it.
Chi Lian too had looked had laughed a few times at Manchu’s actions which entertained her.
"Sister-in-law, you are looking again." Manchu said.
Chi Lian laughed and she said, "I can’t help it, I want to take the plate down and attempt to balance something else on your belly just for fun."
Manchu shook her head and said lightly, "So you all want to turn my baby’s house into a playground."
"You started it." Rize commented.
